I like to look at unique ways of getting visitors to my blog and I think I’ve found one!
Nokia’s Ovi Store has around 140 millions users aross the world, so if you create content, the store offers a great chance for people to view your blog posts in the form of a mobile application. Not everything we do has to be completely online, right?

One thing I know for sure is that pretty soon, people are going to be using their mobiles for everything, so I thought, why not get a head start and distribute my blog across the mobile network in the form of an app?
You may be shaking in your boots at the thought of all the technicalities but worry not, it’s a simple step-by-step process that anyone can do as long as you can follow basic instructions. Here’s my app on the store:

It’s really simple. Visit Nokia’s Ovi store: All you need to do is add the url’s of your web content feed (whether that be youtube,Wordpress, Facebook, RSS). The wizard offers customization options – you can change the background and text colors and add a custom header or logo.If you’ve got multiple feeds, you can publish all of them in one single app without having to merge them separately.
Your app will be sent for approval (I got mine approved in one day), once that is done your app can be downloaded on almost all Nokia devices except for some of the latest ones.
You may be asking if this app is the same as reading an RSS feed from a phone? Well, what makes this even better is that the Ovi app actually optimizes the images on your blog especially for mobiles so all your blog entries will load much quicker – very important for mobile users!
Another thing to note is that once people have installed your blog as an app on the home screen of their phones, don’t you think they’ll visit you more often? :O)
The more places you find to distribute you content the better and if you’re an internet marketer you can also connect with more people, offering them an opportunity to make money online.
Visit me at my blog, on facebook or twitter, i’d love to connect with you!
